Este sitio ha empeazado un boicot contra Microsoft y su 360 por las actuaciones de M$ en China.
[quote]Unbelievably, tragically, Microsoft has signed on to be a full partner with government repression in the Peoples' Republic of China. The company that rose to a dominant position thanks to the free and open society it enjoyed in the United States is now playing the part of well-heeled co-conspirator to a regime that represses freedom of speech and democracy, for gamers, for Internet users, for everyone.
If you haven't heard, in order to gain business in China, Microsoft agreed that its new MSN China Internet venture will censor words like "freedom," "democracy," and "human rights" in its online blogs.
"MSN abides by the laws, regulations and norms of each country in which it operates," said Brooke Richardson, MSN lead product manager. Translation: We here at Microsoft are gutless, soulless profiteers.
Bill Gates' decision is not only despicable, it's painfully ironic. The open structure of the Internet is an acknowledged vehicle for spreading ideas, knowledge, and, ultimately, freedom. Unless, of course you slash the vehicle's tires, as Microsoft has so readily done.
How can gamers express their displeasure with Microsoft's disgusting stance?
There is only one way to get the attention of a corporation that has proven conclusively that it values money far more than liberty.
Gamers, vote for freedom with your wallet.
Boycott the Xbox 360 when it launches in November.
