El Señor de los Anillos: Las Dos Torres

Notapor Daniel » 24-10-2002 04:56

Aqui está el artículo original:

Universal might have the rights for games based on J.R.R. Tolkien's original books, but Electronic Arts has the gaming rights for the movie--and as legions of swooning Orlando Bloom fans can tell you, there is a difference. Those who were captivated by the sweeping visuals and superb execution of Peter Jackson's adaptions should find a lot to like in The Two Towers, the first in Electronic Arts' titles based on the films.

Although the name comes from the second movie, EA's first game actually covers the events of the first two parts of the trilogy. And where the movies generally follow the hobbits' perspective of the quest to destroy the One Ring, the games will put you in the shoes of the Fellowship's more action-oriented members: Aragorn the warrior ranger, Legolas the archer elf, and Gimli the axe-wielding dwarf. Other members of the Fellowship will appear and play roles in the gameplay, but action-hungry gamers will control exactly the characters they want to. Which is a good thing, considering all the Orcs you'll have to hack through, not to mention going up against the Cave Troll and even Saruman.

The game's graphics will be closely patterned after the landscapes in the film, and the character models will look as much like their movie counterparts as possible. Even the Oscar-winning score by Howard Shore will be reproduced for the game, ensuring that gamers feel just like they're playing through the movies.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers will be the first game in a promised series by EA; given that there's only one more movie to cover after this, one wonders what will comprise the rest of the series--maybe The Silmarillion? Whatever their plans, the first game will materialize this November, just in time to try out after seeing the new film.
